Winemaking Method
Our Merlot grapes are harvested in the second or third decade of September in a manual way to preserve their quality.
During the summer the grapes are thinned to increase their quality.
They are then taken to the cellar and vinified by macerating them with pumping over to extract the polyphenols from the skins.
It is then aged for 18 months in fiberglass coated wood vats for 18 months.
Land Features
Our farms are located in Sorbara di Bomporto in the province of Modena, between the capital and Carpi.
For a total of about 6 hectares, our farms are located in a flat area 30 meters above sea level.
The type of soil is typical of the Emilia plains with a clayey, silty, alluvial soil, medium-textured, rich
of mineral substances.

Our Merlot from ancient vineyards is a wine that can be combined with any type of dish, not only of the Emilian tradition.
Its intense and decisive flavor makes it perfect for any type of meat, roast or game dish.
Even if the best of this Merlot wine can be obtained by combining the tasting of a good glass together with a cutting board of seasoned cheeses.
Description
From one of our ancient vineyards located in a favorable position, we make our Merlot wine, in two unique rows with a manual harvest and aging for several months in wood.
Merlot is a wine of great elegance of garnet red color with violet reflections.
The aroma is dominated by herbaceous notes sweetened by hints of berry and spices.
The taste is dry, harmonious and balanced and long lasting.
